[Closed] Sicilly hire car...Help from Hive needed!!
My son (29 year old) has just phoned and asked for help from the STW hive (I have previously boasted that it knows everything).
He is going to Sicilly in 2 days and has booked a hire car in his name. He has his passport and a non photo driving licence .... his wife has a photo driving licence.
Will he be ok?
Will the mafia kill him or let him have the car?
Does he need to change the booking?
Last sept my missus and I got a car from Europcar in Catania. Returned to Palermo. Booked via autoeurope. Neither of us have photo card licences - old paper ones. They didnt care at all about the uk specific paper vs electronic stuff. Mainly they were interested in the excess - just have a credit card with 1500+ euro available for the excess.
Or have I misunderstood the Q?
