Does everyone think it's absolutely beyond doubt that Teddy is insane?
I was left clinging to the possibility that he was gaming them brilliantly at the very end, but only because I wanted to...
Based on his last line I thought it was made fairly obvious he was sane but couldnt live with it.
Had given up on it by then, just didnt get it at all.
nah. he's a nut job.

+1.
However as it was such a rubbish film mostly I didnt care.

Has Scorsese lost it, then?
i enjoyed the film, almost makes me want to go and see it at the cinema
I think "rubbish" is pretty strong, but I've certainly seen tauter films.
was just like being at work

It was too "neat" for me to be honest.
soundtrack was superb
Spoiler---
As soon as I sarted to watch this movie- the scene on the boat - it didn't seem right. By that I mean the way it was filmed and the scenery. Initially I thought they were over hamming the actin g too and then it began to make sense, but I did remark to the mrs right away that something didn't seem right.
I'm still not 100% sure if he had been on the island already as it did seem a little ambiguous at the end. Also when he questioned the other inmates they acted strange, also the (apparent) escaped patient/doctor in the cave.
Thoroughly enjoyed the movie though
Not his best but at least he's not sold out.
