Looking at buying a 1000 x 800mm shower tray.
Surely a shower tray is just a shower tray? Can there be that much difference in quality between a £100 Screwfix jobbie and something that's twice as much?
Pointers most welcome...

Not really, but always try to use Mira flights if possible as they do a good riser kit too.
