About to embark on a google session for a shower mixer.

Thing is, I'm pretty knackered and frankly just want to hit the button and buy one! Can anyone save me the time & point me to a nice quality one from their experience?

Going with these bath taps.

Boiler fed, externally mounted valve-thing.

I'm *happy* to pay out for quality fittings; if worth the money.

That does look nice thanks, but I am probably looking for a more contemporary look, like a straight bar type of thing.

We spent a day looking for a new shower. Great quality and looks very nice now installed.

Oxnop, I love those shower heads - that's ideal. Where are the controls though?!

I've got a brand new Bristan Artisan mixer if you've not already got the taps, I want £120 posted.

You can get one of these for £99+vat from Plumb Center at the minute. 5 year warranty on it, sell loads of them.

Don't go for cheap no name crap off eBay you'll never get spares. Mira, Bristan, Grohe, Triton, maybe Aqualisa at a push.

I've got my eye on these 2 -

http://www.screwfix.com/p/mira-myline-ev-thermostatic-mixer-shower-chrome-effect/58094

http://www.screwfix.com/p/mira-agile-ev-thermostatic-chrome-mixer-shower/70303

Bar ones are nice but seem unnecessarily big and these are a bit different.

Diverters are good for washing your feet / bum / bath

The controls on the others are in-line on the shower mount

They are nice but the flow and temperature controls are a bit close having seen them in the flesh (B&Q)but what probably get one anyway unless I can get the more expensive one.

Best of both worlds -

Also available with bar mixer cheaper -

If you look on the site it only gives you retail price (it's why we never do any internet sales) but if you go in branch you should get that price, it's on for first 3 months of this year.

If you like the look of that Mira Agile have a look at the Bristan Quadrato, same thing but square in every way and cheaper. I'm sure Bristan do some others that'll look like the Mira as well.

I've got a couple of those previously linked Mira Minilux showers in the house. Great valve & shower head. If anything goes wrong the whole lot comes off with one grub screw. Nothing hidden behind the tiles 😀
