I am hankering after a tattoo.

I think I fancy getting a Swiss army knife!

Any other inspiration....

I've seen several of these before. They don't improve with repeat viewing. Shocking. I would only ever have a portrait tattoo done if I could afford a top artist to do it. Like Kat at LA Ink.

This is immediately after it was done so excuse the redness. Hand tapped, 21 hours in 5 consecutive days. I worked with my friend on the design (he's an artist who's recently started tattooing), I was victim 6 and the largest piece he'd done by that point!

This was finished in July.

It's finished by the way; some people ask if the lower's incomplete but I wanted the construction lines present in the final.

Is this a dig at tattoos? I imagine that the tattoos will get fat and sag too. Does that mean they'll become less attractive or you'll like them less?
I don't understand your point.
I don't actually have any photos of mine, but i'm sure you can imagine that they are AWESOME. 😛
This happy chappy seems, well, happy.

Here is one of mine, designed it myself. Used to look clearer on my Scottish skin before I could afford sunny holidays.

I've got about 100 hours of work... a lot of these hours though were when my pal would take 5 hours ove a rose when he was apprenticing.

He's much faster these days.

This is where I get mine done By Lewis.

some really nice bits so far loving that hand tapped geometric one and dirtygirl's is awesome... Not really a fan of the whole tribal thing though.

Erm... No not a dig, Not really a point, it was a question about distortion of the image. Lots of tattoos seem to be on a major mucle or across the back or something, But i'm not always going to be the fine figure of a man that i am now. And if, as i get older .i stop working out and lose my v-shape, how badly would that distort the image on my back?

The question really arise because, tattoos have become very popular only in the last few years, so therehas not been time for a widespread change i bodyshape associated with maturation. Of course some folks got tattoos in the sixties, but not in such numbers tnat you could generalise fromthe outcomes.

What happened to all the skinheads who had those 'in yer face' tattoos back in the early eighties? What happened when they grew up and tried to get jobs in the local bank?

Yeah everyone seems to have them nowadays. I was going to have one done in 1999 and decided against it and I think it is the best decision I ever made.

The Telecaster tattoo is technically good, but a bit meh. DGOAB's tattoo could easily be tacky but it's been done well I think. It's a toughy getting a bike tattoo as the aesthetic changes so much.

Thanks to those who complimented mine 😀
