For some like me who havent seen one since before Christmas, they are big and yellow, with a big hopper on the back full of orange sand and salt, that a fat man in the cab, wearing a green jacket, throws the contents over the roads, they may be covered in numerous flashing yellow lights,to anounce their arrival, just like an alien spaceship arriveing.
You sound like the sort of person who wants the government to do everything project ...........why don't you get out there and clear your own street, instead of spending your time on a computer in a nice warm environment.
......bleedin' socialist ๐
I tried gritting the M8 myself, but ungrateful motorists kept shouting at me ๐
ernie ,i have.

Excellent, so what's the problem then ? Presumably everyone else has cleared their bit of street, and the government/local authority doesn't have to do anything.
Or are you saying that other people haven't been doing their civic duties ? In which case, your problem is with them......don't rely on the government to do everything.
Excellent Stumpy. Also known a the Gary Glitter round these parts.
Wheres Gary Gritter?
As in "Taken up the..."
We've had a JCB clearing the forecourt at work every morning this week and then a flatbed coming and gritting it. Still I reckon they're better off doing someone's cul de sac.
It's not the lack of gritters that pisses me off, it's the lack of grit . a few years ago there used to be containers full of grit left at the side of hills one even minor roads so that the public could grit the road themselves if needs be. These have not been replaced or filled. i don't expect the council to grit every road, but if grit was made available like it used to be then we could deal with the problem ourselves!
Nowt nanny state about that just common sense
anyhow heres a video working hard in the welsh village made famous by little britain yesterday!
