It's contract renewal time. Have swapped phones about but since losing my experia in the FOD I have been happily using a brick that makes calls and does texts

I can end the contract and move to PAYG or just choose a new phone.
The only advantage to me would be carrying a nice camera around. Is that reason enough?

nb What is the iphone camera like in low light. is there any better?

People who like iPhones will say yes, those that don't will say no.

iPhone 4S camera is miles better than the desire but if you after a smartphone with a good camera, I believe the galaxy 3 and Sony experience are good.

I have an iphone5. The camera is very good in good light, not bad for a phone camera in low light. I think the camera on my old Galaxy S2 that I gave to my wife was probably slightly better though.

Indeed it is. I need a phone though and I like having a camera on me. (but wouldnt take one out alongside the phone)

I am going to cancel. The 20 quid/ month can go towards the bike fund...

I've had android for about 3 years. Recently was given an iphone 3gs for work and find it to be really clunky compared with android. Suppose the 4 and 5 will be much better, but still reckon android is better. Seem to be more free apps on android market too.

I was completely anti i anything for years, had every other all singing all dancing competitors but finally gave in and got a 4s.
I couldn't live without it and by far the best phone I have ever had. Don't feel the need for a 5 as this is still perfect. Everything just works.

Do you actually need one ?
if you have any other Apple devices to hook onto then yes
as you will get the benefits of the iPhone.

I will say it as the best internet usage, being its like looking at
your Mac screen on me Mac book pro

going from a nokia 6300 to a 3GS (off of here) was an absolute revelation, it just does so much (obviously not a great camera though).

I'd resisted for a long time but eventually caved in.

I still think having a phone that's worth much more than £100-£150 is a bad idea, and there's no way I can justify much more than £12 a month on a contract.

I've got an iPhone4, and whilst I can't compare it to any other recent phone, it is awesome and does all I want and more, Tom Tom sat nav, iTunes, Memory Map OS maps, camera, Text messages are amongst my most used functions.
As far as the camera is concerned, we've had a couple of canvases (18"x28") done from iPhone 4 piccies and they're great. If the Galaxy or Desire are better then they must be amazing!

Really amazed by the S3 camera for quality - some are on my calendar for next year.

As people have said already Apple just works - but only if you work in the apple way.

It's also expensive if you want more memory compared to buying a bigger SD card when the next size up gets cheaper (32gb card for 10% of what apple charge) when 64gb gets cheaper I'll get one of them taking my phone up to 96gb.

You will have to use itunes and if your using it on a pc that will be a PITA.

Go play with some of the others out there before deciding.

Just got the new Jelly Bean update through and the S3 just gets nicer again 🙂
