I'm sympathetic that it's a rock and hard place and that if we genuinely believe or have evidence of meddling we should call them on it, but seems like the Johnson-Lavrov summit descended into name calling at the press conference.

Mr Johnson was in Moscow in an attempt to open up communication channels after years of hostility.
That's brilliant. "We've had years of hostility and not visited in half a decade, who shall we send to go and sweet-talk them?" - "I know just the fella!"
