Fitting a stove in the shed/summerhouse and wondered what material folk were using as a heat shield at the back.
On the stovefittersmanual website they suggest you can use 12mm Hardiebacker board.
Anybody gone down this route?

Not sure on a shed.
Gooutdoors have a lovely little tent stove at the moment though!
Heat shield, pipe, etc complete with flat top for cooking on.

Yeah, I used Hardibacker board and then tiled over it.

I was worried about getting special heatproof adhesive/grout and all that but the Mapei stuff I got from Screwfix is totally fine with the stove and gap I have.

Old bit of metal roof sheet with some slate tiles attached with some bent bits of wire.
