No not a nichetrackworld recommend me a three grand razor blade or such like, but where exactly do you shave?! 😳

When I got home from work last night, Mrs B was telling me of her lunchtime conversation at work....to cut a long story short they ended up talking about whose boyfriend/husband shaved their tackle!!

It turns out that I'm the only one of all that were mentioned that doesn't shave down there!! I was just as surprised as she was! Are all men now sporting the 'Shaven John Craven look'? Obviously most women shave nowadays, but I thought that it was exclusive to males in the pron industry! I'm not even sure that it's an age thing-I'm 26, some of the blokes mentioned are in their forties.

I'm not overly body/image obsessed so just have a quick shave of my cheeks and leave some 'designer stuble' or whatever it's called....everywhere else is untouched. Did I miss a blanket email to all blokes advising of a change or something? 😯

Ugh. Shaving your chin is enough work, why make it harder?

Stubbly penis anyone?

Mmm oh yeah, I love you.. let's do it now.. oh wait - my dick's a bit scratchy, is that gonna be ok or do you want me to go and wax?

Don't shave, trim. No need to let a razor blade loose down there but a bit of grooming does no harm and if the lady likes it then why not??

^^ This.

A bit of a tidy up is nothing to be ashamed of. Makes your missus more keen on visiting the area too, if she hasn't got a burst mattress effect going off when she pulls down the Y-Fronts.

Where does it all end?
Being a bit hirsute if I shaved just the old chap, to make it all match I'd be shaving from chin to toe (I have Hobbit feet too).
And, there have been quite a few reports recently re the infections and unpleasant side effects from shaving 'down there'.

Proud to admit that I do shave my gentlemans vegetables, been doing it for at least 10 years following the snip where it had to be shaved anyway, been shaving it ever since.

No side effects, no infections. Quick zap over when in the shower once a day means no stubble issues. combine it with a full check over down there (which we should ALL be doing gents!) when in the bath.

Lot more comfortable and definitely seem to get more attention....

Really, based on what, porn?

FWIW I give mine a trim every now and then.

As far as I'm concerned, it's whatever you and your partner like to do - as long as you're both happy, who gives a shit what the 'prevailing trend' is in anything!

I will admit that I'm guilty of watching too much porn though and reckon that's definitely an influence on habits...

I have a regular buzz round with an electric clipper - a 2mm stubble is less prickly but far more comfortable than the old retro-cock look.

And yes, the vast majority of ladies go for the completely shaven look now (thankfully) so it would seem rude to expect them to tolerate a face-full of wiry knob-'fro.

I couldn't really shave without looking ridiculous, at least without comitting to shaving my chest and legs too. i have been known to trim, but having two kids under three kinda changes my time prioities.

As for women's shaving habits, in my experience it has been fairly rare to meet a completely bald coot, so to speak; probably sub 25%. (although this may say more about the womwn I attract than the general population... 😯

Jesuss ... I keep getting the image in my head that someone just bought a new cut throat razor happily trying to experiment it on their jewel but while trying he sneezes ... damn! Blood all over. John Wayne Bobbitt II appears in the news.

Having returned to the dating game - with some gusto - around 3 years ago, I can honestly say that in my experience, around 90% of women I've got to know quite well have been completely smooth.

Anecdotal evidence also suggests it's more hygienic, more comfortable, and makes them feel 'sexier'. And it means they're more likely to get the lingering attentions of a man "lapping away like a thirsty dog at a puddle".

I find 'smooth' completely unattractive and unnatural. Much prefer two bushy squirrels fighting it out in a sack. I'm shocked and appalled by some of the comments above, why would you want a woman to look like a child?

Oh dear. Stop arguing you losers!!! Let's stick to the real issues from the op-should a man shave his John Thomas?

I'm strangely inclined to give it a go given that so many seem to! Any tips....veet? blow torch? lawn mower?

As mentioned before, hair clippers on their lowest setting for the, erm, fringe(?) and then a Mac3-type razor dragged gently across the surface seems to work best for the balls, barse and in the groin area.

It might seem counter-intuitive, but working dry seems to get the best result, and if you wrap any, erm, loose skin round your fist first, you get a nice smooth finish without any nicks.

I'm told Veet works well, but timings are critical. And when I say 'critical', I really mean critical! I'm told there's less itchiness when it grows back, but I've never suffered from that anyway...

I did it for my snip operation.

It looked like someone had shot a hole through a rug and held infront of a young boy. Me and my wife did not find it a good look.

veet has some nasty chemicals in it, loads of people I know are allergic to it, one of my friends had to take anti-histamine after doing her legs!!

epilator, or better still go to a salon, most are pretty used to doing men now.

I used to share a mess with a guy who shaved the lot back and front every few days, he couldnt have any hair down stairs. I came back to the room one day from a crap shift onboard to find my mate going at his tadger with a cheap bic razor. Mistakenly I set about grabbing the razor off him thinking he was trying to chop it off and do himself in, the guy next door came into our room to find me wrestling with a naked man with hairless nads rolling on the floor.

This was in the mid 90's and I'd never seen owt like than other than a pron movie.
I miss the Navy it was great... 😕

I'm intrigued. Especially as my front garden (and possible the rear plot, I never look) is looking a bit wild. The grey hairs don't improve the look either.

But I often suffer the odd nick or rash when shaving my dead hard ultra smooth face, how on earth can you shave a saggy rough crinkly sack safely?

It's a lot easier than you would think. Mach 3 razor Every few days while in the shower.

Everything else (except head hair) gets a grade 2 on the wahl clippers once a week.

Stage1: it makes it look like a mini Jabba the Hut.

Stage2: Two days after the trim...You look like you have a itchy STD.

In the gym changing room do you really want men admiring your close razor-work?

Veet with Aloe Vera is fine...providing you remove it after 6 minutes max...thing is, if you haven't trimmed a fair bit down there, 6 minutes won't be long enough!

Hot shower, soap and a razor and it does a fine job...I've yet to suffer stubble rash or itching (or unhygienic stuff), I sweat very easily so reducing the hair has helped that particular issue.

When I played rugby, I shaved downstairs as I had a second row with really week hands and his hand would slide down mid scrum and he would grab whatever was there...which was usually my pubes :twisted:and people used to think I was a good scrummager!

Clippers on No.1 for head, chest, stomach and scrotal area.

Veet for the back (administered by the wife while children giggle in background).

Both every 3-4 weeks.

Stops me looking like a baboon.

when I've tried it I found it was a real arms race. Shave round your knob and your hairy stomach looks weird so you have to shave that. Then your chest looks weird so that gets the treatment, then your hairy legs look weird.
I just stick with the occasional trim now if I can be bothered but there's no way I'd take it all off. My wife is also very vocal on this subject, she likes me to look like a man and men have hair on their bodies.
