[Closed] Shaved pussy

there is no rule on this, i have had a cat shredding the place in hours of surgery, another felt very sorry for herself for a week.

TRY and keep her in for a bit, a week will probably be impossible.

as an aside she will hate the plastic collar and will probably figure out how to remove it in a few hours. The cat will then try and lick the wound, you will then return to the vet to get her restitched....

she hasn't been out before... we were told to wait until she had been spayed before letting her out.

I guess we should wait until she's fully healed before booting her out the door, so her fur should be back by then anyway.

I recall that we had one of our cats spayed years ago, got it home, cat licked and then PULLED the stitches out. 😯

Had ours done almost a year ago.
The hardest part was trying to keep her calm for a few days; she was climbing and jumping within hours of getting home.

No plastic collar used by our vet.

not a spaying, but this was hours after surgery, i had had enough of the cat screaming at the back door!

I did ask if they could shave her all just leaving the head and feet

got her back... the cone of shame lasted about 5 minutes before she learned how to take it off - another 5 minutes after that, she'd mastered putting it back on!

it appears now that the cone of shame is her favourite new toy 🙂
