MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
So one of my colleagues had a brain fart and deleted a shared folder (possibly while removing people from a different group). We seem to have SharePoint saying it has been restored but no-one can access it or see it.
So gurus of stw how do I get access to '00s of hours work.
Now in the true public sector spirit of working no-one has responsibility for looking at this stuff.
Share point site admin should be able to restore perms.
Are you able to browse to it via explorer (not browser) e.g. \\sharpoint\sites\path1\path2\deleted folder name\
Ok the restore has made everyone an owner but no-one an admin. Still none of us can see into the folder.
Assuming it's Sharepoint Online as part of O365, your O365 admin should be able to fix.
as above, it sounds like you are talking about Sharepoint as part of O365. If your admin can't recover it directly then they should also be able to email MS support to help. I've found them extremely responsive but whether then can help does depend a little on what the problem is. don't leave it too long before contacting them though
