The wife wants a Shakti Mat as part of her xmas pressies.

There seems to be a brand called Shakti and they cost £50 from them, then there are countless 'Shakti' mats on Amazon and eBay with pillows and rollers as well for £20-£30.

Is the Shakti brand better or just marketed better?

Ta!

The branded one...

if your Mrs wants a Shakti mat, get her a Shakti mat not some cheap knockoff, or you will pay for it on Chrimbo morning 😂

Has she used one? A well-meaning relatively bought me shakti neck pillow a couple of years ago (I have neck issues). A bizarre and hateful thing. Painful snake oil.

I'm just the giver of gifts! I dare say it'll end up stuffed under the spare bed in less than a month! 🙂

Or you will.  The only option is the branded one 🙂

Just clicked on that link. Are they some sort of weird S&M equipment?

More woo from the purveyors of healing crystals and ear candles. A bed of nails is what she really wants.

I'm sure you could knock up bed of nails for cheaper. 🤔

Says it comes with a 60day refund policy.

Wait the 30 days for your wife to get bored and stuff it under the spare bed. At which point you send it back for a refund! 😎

Mine cost a tenner from Amazon a few years back and I use it to relieve tension in my back between other (physical therapy) treatments for that purpose it works extremely well, other snake oil claims are just snake oil. After the first minute it’s quite nice tbh, the worst bit is getting up, best treat like pulling off a plaster and done quick.

TLDR they’re all the same cheap or expensive.
