No trees or massive logs etc for anchoring . No frame kit's allowed! ( too far to carry heavy stuff ) anyone conquered this ? seen strange poles anchored with various buried objects online . Anyone found a surefire way to achieve a blissful setup way from the hoards!
Here's a link to a calculator to work out the loads involved.

You are going to need big ground anchors (sacks filled with sand or gravel, buried deep?) and at least for stout sticks to make a pair of A-frames. Good luck.
How about a couple of inflatable palm trees?

Cant you just lay it on the sand?
Less chance of falling out as well....
What bodgy said. A frame at each end with an anchor line. Either a stake in the ground or some sacks filled with sand. So you'll need 4 stout sticks, some rope and either a couple more sticks or some empty sacks
seen the handy hammock ..looks good and a possible solution methinks.here
Can't you just pay a couple of stout locals to stand there and hold each end? With their free hand they could each waft you with ostrich feathers.
Be careful not to fall asleep though. They'll draw crude messages on you in sunblock.
nice idea about the ostrich feathers but unnecessary really in devon!
Make four sand anchors like dead man snow anchors used by climbers?
how much does she charge?
So you'll need 4 stout sticks, some rope and either a couple more sticks or some empty sacks
A simpler solution - more sticks required though. Use the sticks to make two rectangular frames - one slightly narrower than the other. Sit the narrower frame inside the wider frame and bolt through where they both cross. The arrange the frames in an X shape, secure them in the position you want with a couple of props and suspend the hammock from that..
^^ Hahahahahahaha!
