wedding march is boring.

We got married in a castle in Scotland and mrs zip walked down the aisle to Arrival by Abba.
Sounds a bit like bag pipes.

If you're looking for something for folks to listen to while you're signing stuff (especially if you've got a friend who can play it)

Needs an intro...you need everybody in the room putting their hands up, as mrsconsequence walks up to you. How emotional would it be dude?

Of if only I could do it again... 🙂

You'll have to get down the Isle pretty sharpish.

We had "Songs of Love" by the Divine Comedy, which also happens to be the Father Ted theme music.

I walked down the aisle to Aerith's theme from Final Fantasty VII. The best man was giggling!

Dunno why, it's not exactly the chocobo theme. Which also would have been ace, thinking about it...

My mum was at a wedding where the bride was incredibly late, the organist was having to play along, long, long medley of hymns to try a fill time, improvising little segues from one hymn to the next. Absent mindedly they improvised themselves into 'maybe its because I'm a Londoner' and then didn't seem to be able to improvise their way back out of it again

😀 loadsa deliciously inappropriate suggestions!

any sensible suggestions that could be pulled out the bag... acoustic singe song writer stuff for example? actually that'd be handy as the guitarist and singer from the band could perform it as she walks in!

a bit leftfield perhaps, but this fella has an amzing voice, and I love this song:

give it until the chorus kicks in.

oh, Phil, i'll be at Labyrinth/Babymaker at 8pm this evening if you decide to venture out!

My bro-in-law had that David Gray one. I don't really do songer songwriters on the whole, except a bit of Bobby D.
Surely though, it needs to be a song that means something to you. Not us idiots out here

most of the songs that mean something to us are a little too heavy for walking down the aisle to 😈

becca was originally planning on dubstep, i managed to change this to the jurassic park theme and then it moved onto that cinematic orchestra/lou rhodes track.

apparently my suggestion of 'all i wanna do is do it (big girl)' from the Kevin and Perry film was a little too silly!

I did enjoy the Thor soundtrack, she'd have to break into a little trot when it properly kicks in though. Or ride in on an eight legged horse.

Juan Zelada - Satisfied

Not available on the Tube but the lyrics are below and you can listen to a large part of it on iTunes store as a preview.

It’s gonna be alright,
It’s gonna hurt tonight,
It’s so sad but I ain’t complaining.
I’m gonna wipe them tears from my face,
For now there’s just hope remaining.
And if the wheels come off from this train I’ll get up,
Maybe meet a girl, just ride around the world,
Glancing out the window,
I’ll be satisfied.

There’ll be changes made
And mistakes to come,
And a river of emotion for your love.
I’ll survive the pain
And simply move on,
Waking up the heaven’s up above.
All the silent echoes and the misty days,
Dreaming of the ribbons in your hair,
As I reach out of repair,
I’ll be satisfied.

So I pack up my bags,
I’m ready to go
And follow the light.
I’ve led a dirt beaten track,
There’s no looking back,
I’ll be satisfied.
I’ll be satisfied.

It’s been a while since the verses
Turned into grey,
As colorful magnolias
They blossomed elsewhere,
What is left is an ocean
Of the darkest blue,
Where life grows between the distance
Of me and you.
There’s a place in our hearts
For protecting so,
What we treasure the most,
What is in us all,
I vaguely seem to recall,
I’d be satisfied.

So I pack up my bags,
I’m ready to go
And follow the light.
I’ve led a dirt beaten track,
There’s no looking back,
I’ll be satisfied.
I’ll be satisfied.

We had only girl in the world by Rhianna played by a pianist at ours. Lots of nice comments about it.
