As title, I need to move some money from UK to Australia and have done some smallish amounts via hifx. This one's a bit bigger however and want to time it right to get the best rate. Are there any STW pearls of wisdom for this or is it just a case of gut feeling and/or looking at forethisforexsites? Cheers
Depends what a large amount is....
Some of the Forex people if you speak to them (rather than using them just online) will work for a good rate but given the economic news it's never going to be that good for a while.
We used Tranferwise when sending money to our daughter in Australia. Cheap and efficient.
Another Transferwise user here – used after being recommended on here (by Drac I think). Easy-peesy, happy to use again and to recommend it.
Hifx was fine for us transferring funds for house purchase. Just tried to keep an eye on the rate and checked the gbp/aud forecast
