Anyone know of any small breweries who will send gift packs of bottled beer in the post?

Sainsbury/Ocado/Tesco ?

or there are plenty of wine/beer websites that will do orders... think there was even some one on here who set one up a few years back

Harveys of Lewes

EDIT: Harveys not really a micro brewery. These shops have a nice selection beer boutique or utobeer

Try www.realale.com

It's not a brewery, but rather a great shop just outside Twickenham that has a huge range of beers and ales from small / micro breweries and which ships them around the country.

www.mybrewerytap.com

Do some nice gift packs, all mail order. Had a couple from them myself for "testing" purposes, get a nice mix in the selection boxes. Good customer service too IME.

MyBreweryTap have been very good until recently - I am in the 52 Week Beer Club and the last delivery was delayed and delayed due to what appeared to be pretty poor excuses - and I couldn't get hold of them on their 'helpline' or via Facebook/Twitter to discuss the lack of delivery. In the end up I rang the orders number (and of course I got straight through).

Up till then I wouldn't have hesitated in recommending them but now I am not so sure.

The owner is an occasional forum lurker and MTBer I believe.

I gave some prototype beers from Brew Dog as Christmas presents.
Can't seem them on their site any more, but they have a very interesting range of guest beers?

In defense of Mybrewerytap i had a normal order from them after the delay of my 52 week US beer club order & it arrived by courier within 2 days of order. I'd not hesitate to order from them again & have used them A LOT over the past 2 years without trouble.

Also worth a look at beermerchants.com, alebymale.com, & thebottleshop.com.

It really depends what you're after.

Purity Brewing, purveyors of the finest ales in the land and ecologically aware too. I've had a couple of their minicasks - tastes just as good as from a pump at the bar.

Mad Goose would be my top tip.
