I've got one...

Recently I noticed that the Face of the watch has rotated withing the case. It's the strangest thing; the watch still runs but it doesn't read right because the Face has rotated and I can't see the date through the date window.

I know a few here have had this watch. So has anyone else had this issue?

Any idea what's happened to let the Face rotate inside the case?

Can it be fixed?

Is it worth fixing?

There are tiny pins welded to the back of the face to locate it in the correct position relative to the movement when in the case. Occasionally those pins can detach allowing the face to rotate; a new face is the only real fix. Had it happen many years ago to my TAG Heuer Series 1000, and had a new onefitted, although the replacement was subtly different in some wording.
Get in touch with Yokobies, he does loads of different faces, so you can customise the look of your watch.

Might be a pukka one got a bit Wonky, but it could be an Indian franken-watch, they often glue a repro or different model's dial on rather than fit a proper one... They like seiko for this because there's lots about and many of them have interchangable parts/cases...

If you're just wanting a daily wearer/beater automatic seiko then creation watches do SNKs from about £50 and up, I'd Use that as your baseline guide for general VFM.

Dial dots can be used to replace the pins.

Common on pmmm mods and older seikos.
