I have a gig in London coming up, Wednesday next week. Tickets through See Tickets but nothing has turned up in the post and there's no facility to print off anything on my order page. Customer services appears to be totally automated and is predictably useless. To complicate things I'm in Edinburgh and will miss Wednesday's post (should they arrive then) travelling down south.

Anyone else had this? Resolutions? I'm thinking of phoning the venue and asking if they'll let me in with my confirmation email. And I won't be using See again...

I think it was See who didnt give us a ticket for something in September, but, when checking, they say an emailed ticket will be sent the day before, and it was. It isnt very customer friendly, and is, presumably, to stop further sale of the tickets, so they can control the price of them.
I hate ticket sales sites, why Bands let them deal with their tickets is beyond me. A few years ago, we went to see Deacon Blue. It was sold out for months in advance. On arrival, there was maybe 30 seats in a block empty right near the front. I asked a steward about it, the reply was they are sold en-bloc to the ticket shysters, who then set their own price for them. This time they clearly were asking too much, so got bit on their backside for their greed.

I think See Tickets use a mix of e-tickets and posted physical tickets, depending on the venue - I’ve used them a lot over the years without issues, but it has to be said that it’s a lot easier to lose track of things sent by email and something you can hang on the fridge with a magnet! I was checking one last night, because I couldn’t find a ticket pdf where I usually file them, and when I tracked down the email it said to just present the email as proof at the venue.
It’s clear there’s no real consistency between agencies and venues as to how they manage online ticket sales.
Ticketmaster are the worst for pre-selling blocks of tickets to agencies, including their own, that sell on at a premium.
I believe there’s legislation being talked about to force the big sellers to divest themselves of the third-party agencies that they bought up a while back - it’s legal touting, and immoral.

Thanks, this is helpful. I guess I'll just hope something either turns up in the post or my inbox on Monday or Tuesday. I hate ticket agencies too!

I've never had a problem with See Tickets, they're one of the better of a very bad bunch IME. I have had a few buttock-fluttery last-minute deliveries though.
