Thinking about getting one and wondered if there is anything I should look out for. Not bothered about the latest tech.

Are they as good as its been said?

Any common faults?

You say you're not bothered about the latest tech, but what would you like out of it, as the latest gen ones are much improved - oh, and the slightly older ones wont work with Windows 7?

running XP and all I want is to play angrry birds and start using an Ipod. Also want to surf the net at home too.

Not sure what the next gen would add.

Should be ok then.

Can't remember what's actually added, but was going to get daughter one last year and ended up being glad we waited. Camera/video is definitely one feature, but I doubt you're bothered about that.

Main reason for not getting one before was W7 incompatibility though

Yeah, I'm still old school using XP.

Strange Itunes question - If I have a external HDD with all my tunes on, can I use this on a number of PCs to share the songs?

Dunno, I would assume so.

I dragged a song off iTunes yesterday onto my phone.

Won't play through my media server on my XBox though - I think that's the console, rather than the song though.
