[Closed] sea kayaking in north devon

i had the thought i might like to try sea kayaking in the UK, the SOs mum lives in Barnstaple so wondering if there is anywhere in that part of the country who runs courses etc.

You want to speak to the boys at south west sea kayaking as a first point of call but you should ask on the UKRGB forum. Most of my contacts are in wales sorry.

Not good with southern geography, but Sea Kayak Cornwall are a good bet as well. Jeff and Simon are good blokes.

thanks for that, i suspect anything that has cornwall in the title is going to be too far.

mrhoppy, do you know southwest, or is it just a name you are aware of?

I've not been out with them but I do know people who have who have had good experiences. For an intro - intermediate session they will be fine, for a more advanced session I'd probably go with Pyros recommendation and go see Si Osbourne at SK Cornwall but for what you've described there is no need.

My mate's business, based in Braunton (just down the road from Barnstaple). Rob's also quite handy on a bike too.
