Does anyone understand the pension calculator? I'm trying to plan and the illustrative spreadsheet makes hee-haw sense to me.
There's only a few boxes and the helpful information is anything but.
Just directly contact them and ask - they are pretty good at coming back with a calculation. I too could not get the calculator to work easily.
Edit: when you login does it not show a basic calculation? I thought it did...
@matt_outandabout. Yes there's a simple plug numbers in then there's a more complex Excel spreadsheet. But this year's is simplified compared to last year's and is missing some accrued numbers which, I feel, makes it much less accurate.
I now hold a promoted post and the older version, because of the accrued number, and the McCloud calc seemed to be better. Althea I'll take the new one as it indicates a better payout, which is never going to happen.
