Meeting the in-laws en route to North Wales on Saturday and looking for somewhere nice to have a big meal as opposed to a lighter lunch. Can anyone recommend a pub near Welshpool or not too far away from the main drag that goes across to the A470 up to N Wales?

Afternoon bump - good lunchtime food pubs in Welshpool or Bala this Sat?

I have family near there and usually meet at the Raven Inn when I’m passing through - decent food and lots of parking.
The Cornstore is supposed to be nice too.
