Satmap got a right soaking on the WRT this year and hasnt been right since.
It had a tiny hairline crack on the screen and some water did get in.
It got dried well (not fast on a radiator or anything) but now it keeps turning itself off.
Is there anything I can do or does it need to go back for a check up?

I'd check the battery connections first; try the AA cradle instead if you've got it and see if the problems persist.
Satmap aren't great at warranty stuff IME but the general reconditioning service they offer is fairly cheap (£38 including a new outer case, screen and software update) and should sort any issues you're having.
Just had mine have a general service. As Mr A says, £40 odd but comes back looking (and pretty much is) new.
