I posted this a while ago but figured now she's won a few gold medals someone might actually want it:

Its been a long time since I posted on here due to work commitments, but i'm back on to help out a charitable cause.

Today at work I won one of Sarah Storey's signed jerseys (the Paralympic gold medalist) in a raffle. In keeping with the charitable theme, instead of keeping it I figured there may be a few people on here who would be willing to enter a raffle for a chance of winning it.

I dont know how it would be easiest to do it, or if there would be any interest, but this post is just to test the water.

The charity is the British Paralympic Association and obviously all proceeds would be donated in full.

What do you guys think?

P.S. no bonus points awarded for guessing my firm/job

Rode to Brands Hatch today, missed Sarah Storey but was great to watch the other riders. Absolutely packed, great occasion

i'm not sure of the easiest way either - I was thinking of £1 per ticket then either after a week or so pick a winner out of the total amount that are sold or say there are e.g. 100 tickets then once all are sold pick a winner.

i think easiest way to sort the money out would be to paypal it to me then I can hand it across through work, or i could set up one of those just giving pages maybe?

sound reasonable???
(im open to suggestions though)

How much do you want to raise £100, £200?

I'd do the set no of tickets say 100 and do the draw once all are sold. Either PP or just giving, do PP and just giving take fees from charity auctions?

Oh and do the draw live on STW if possible the last time it was done it was fun.

go on then, 100 tickets seems like a realistic target.

£1 each, buy as many as you like - email me at jammy111(at)gmail(dot)com and ill let you know my paypal (dont really want to post it on here).

dont really know what you man by a 'live' draw but if you let me know how, ill do it

last time there was a charity raffle the draw was streamed live on the web to ensure there was no underhand cheating. cant remember who it was but they got their son to do the draw live on the tinternet.

Might be worth starting new thread and get the mods to sticky it for the duration.

email coming your way.

I'm up for this too. Will have a look at live video/cam streaming tomo. Could do worse than use something any standard web conferencing app, eg WebEx, GoToMeeting etc. have you got a web cam?

not yet no - i was trying to figure out if there was a way of doing it using the lottery numbers, however i dont think it works. might ask a mod to do it using a random number generator and then post the result up here - i figure if i do it myself people would probably complain

good point - in that case i think ill just do it myself and post it up here. cant really think of any other way of doing it, and if people aren't happy then ill send their money back to them - beforehand only obviously

Jammy, I just want to say I'm happy that you do it anyway you like, if you have kids get one of them to shout a number between 1 and 100 random and sorted, cant see that anyone will have anything to complain about.
