Is the face recognition unlock thing a bit crap, or is it me?
Seems the fingerprint reader is far better, no?
I've got an A8 which has a similar feature. Face works in good light etc but finger reader is lightning fast.
Finger reader is way faster and more reliable than my apple iPad (5) equivalent.
Seems that 'Intelligent scan' tries face first (at least whilst I am sitting at my desk) and then tries iris scanning. But it takes a couple of seconds to decide that face isn't going to work. If I set it to iris only it works almost instantly, and I don't have to hold the phone right up in front of my face.
Might be worth it if I were wearing gloves or something but the fingerprint reader is still quicker since to use iris scanning you have to press a button to wake it then also swipe, whereas the fingerprint is a single press.
