I've just bought a MacBook running Safari 5. I quite like the tabbed browsing on FireFox.

I have enabled tabbed browsing on Safari, all good. But I can't set several tabs as my home/start page when I fire up Safari. Am I being thick? Or can it not be done?

Thank you for any help you can offer,

BB

I think Firefox opens up the same as you had last 'session', not sure if you can set multiple tabs though. I know you can't in Safari. You can have your own favourite bookmarks in the bookmarks bar though.

You can assign a single bookmark to multiple tabs (Bookmarks>Add bookmark for these X tabs). This might get you some of the way to a solution!

Alternatively, create a bookmark folder containing the websites of interest then CMD click on this folder in the bookmarks bar to open all sites under it.

I'm not at my Mac, but I think that you can go into your options when you have several tabs open and set your homepage as "use current tabs".

You could also just instal Firefox. It is, in my opinion, much cleaner and easier to use than Safari. You can do the multiple tab homepage on Firefox, too. Bookmarks from you current Firefox can be copied/imported very easily to the Macbook.
