[Closed] safari, PM's, and the forum

a couple of questions- tried to reply to an ad in the classifieds with a pm- do they work- very difficult to tell using any of my browsers (brave, chrome, safari).
Can't open any classifieds in safari- is this restricted to me, or a more general bug?
OSX, not iOS.

oh, and opened the site on chrome and safari rather than brave for the first time in months, and it runs like a slug- is this usual, or is it just me it's happening to?
