Host Nation against Japan (who weren't bad against France).

Ab's to win? Japan to put up a good fight . . . . ?

Def going to be watching this one without falling asleep ๐Ÿ™‚

Are you up yet NZCol?

Hello hello yes I am here, bit late this morning as went for a cheeky early morning singletrack fest on the way to work.
Right, yes, mixing the team up a bit again tonight. I think japan will give us a bit of a monstering early on but we'll run round them and score a fair few points. Interesting to see the back line formation without carter & dagg. Hmmmm.
In other news - very busy in town again this morning, SA v Fiji tomorrow night. Bought a Fiji flag which the cat took exception to and shredded. Possibly showing his displeasure at the Bainarama coup and subsequent governmental takeover. Perhaps.

I can't imagine a scenario where anything other than a complete murdering of Japan by NZ occurs.

If it doesn't happen like that there could well be a drive by shouting.

my RWC BB app says it's on at 9am GMT time, so i'm gonna be watching that..

Last few games are interesting..

145 - 17
106 - 4
74 - 0

All to NZ's favour! Gonna be a good game. Japan fought well though against french france.

McCaw really injured?

Apparently so. Or being rested as we refer to it now.

Sadly I think it's a dead cert the AB's will destroy the Japs tonight.

Just scored 2 free tickets for the SA v Fiji game tomorrow night through work so I think I'll have to do the same as Col and pick up a Fiji flag.

It's on at 10am here in SA - 3 hrs to go, so time for an early morning ride ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm pretty sure the AB's can make it work, but I'm hoping Japan don't make it easy. How hard each team has to play in these early stages can make a difference later on.

worst we get in Jo'burg is the occasional tremor. Freaks you out though - it's enough to shake the house.

This is a murder.
You can't help but admire the ABs when they play like this.

No way are the All Blacks going to let them through! Definitely nil.
Japan just don't know what to do!

Surely almost anyone would look good against the Japanese based on today, no?

This should be the biggest winning gap for the tournament. Unless SA turn it on against Namibia.

Got to feel sorry for Japan, they are being thoroughly smashed. The gap in skill enormous

Imagine how much more it'd be if Carter/Macaw were out there?

Normally you'd expect tge big team to take the foot off the gas(NZ v Tonga last week for example), but i have a feeling that wont happen tonight.

Ther are too many reserves wanting to show Graham Henry that they deserve their big match starts for that to happen.

France didn't do this to Japan.

I don't think there is another team in world rugby capable of blowing a team away in quite the same way that the ABs are.

Current score? Beeb has it at 12-0, which doesn't sound like enough!

Sonny Bill did what ?

Skipped and danced around 3 tackles whilst waving the ball about in one hand before off loading to Nonu for the try. You need to see it.

Nice - Ma'a Nonu is one of my fave players too (good name, Hurricanes) so that will be worth a watch.

I love the contrast between RU and footie.

AB called off-side, players askes, "are you sure", ref replies 'Yes, I AM SURE."

Nothing more, nothing less - but no doubt who is in control!!

Cliche point I know, but still relevent

I have never seen one-handed dummies thrown like that before! My screen is too small to see who it was, but that was brilliant. (the try that put them up to 77)

[edit] crikey, you switch screens for a few seconds and miss another try!

What fight Japan showed - keeping attacking all the time - every ball they could get. Even after the 80 mins were up.

Great finish there by both teams, sonny bill getting booed for kickng it out instead of carrying on for more. Brillian! Hats off to both teams...Glad I sacked off a morning ride now...
