Didn't Jones say he's the best 7 in Europe .
Will probably play FB as 11, Daly wing as 15, ' cos Jones is orsumz tactical genius.

He’s stating licence to do the same on Saturday which could make things interesting, but more so he says he may play off the forwards – I’m guessing Eddies asking him to get over the ball in the ruck as an extra/quick player into contact.

Nowell getting involved rucks isn't going to work well, he will just be doing the job much less effectively than an experienced international forward and will also leave a gap for those handy tactical kickers Ireland have and 9 and 10 to exploit...But Eddie Jones, eh?

I imagine what they intend is Nowel picking and going round the fringes or playing direct of 9 in broken play.

You forget we don’t have an experienced international 7 in our team...  But yes he’d get battered to pieces.   England will need to get behind Ireland and I guess what AA describes is one way of attempting to do it.

England will keep giving the ball to Billy V and occasionally his brother, Tualingi
or Itoje and then will run hard at the irish defenders until eventually they suck in enough defenders to create space out wide. It is a tactic that despite being predictable has had some success against Ireland and Irish teams (Saracens V Munster in Europe)
This could be a tough day at the office for us.

Brains?

I am not a sports fan, rugby is the only sport I make a point of following (and then mainly the 6nations). I don’t know how people who love sport cope with the ‘stress’. I normally support the underdog - so this weekend Wales, England and Italy [ are Italy the underdogs? 😉 ].

Let’s hope it’s a great game and no injuries.

Some big boys in that French pack. They’ve even managed to look like a team in the first few minutes.

The conditions look pretty grim tonight as well. Makes me glad to be sat indoors with a few Speckled Hens.

Just as well France have missed a few kicks.

I’m surprised at how good France have looked and they’ve played the conditions better. If they balls this up, the crowd will not be happy...

If France start playing a structured game, they could be a big threat at the RWC

A few brain dead decisions by Wales's players in that half.

I doubt it will be pissing down and cold in Japan. Wales dont have the ball carriers to compete with the french pack.

France are not unstructured here, quite the opposite. They aren't executing as well as the other big boys in the 6N will, so this is not a great sign for Wales. They all need to try an be as good as JD2, Then they'll be OK.

Too many handling errors by the men in red, Sanjay not shipping it as is his way and we’ve slipped back to terrible decision making - 20 second till red and you kick it back down the park 😳🔫 I is disappoint!

If Anscombe was half as good as he thinks he is he would be Wales best ever fly half!

47 mins for Wales to register a point. Jiffy finally has something to get excited about (not that that’s stopped home so far).

A glimmer of hope. Next ten minutes are going to be super intense. If Wales score next, will France be rattled?

What a monumental F up by Huget....ooops.

They French crowd will start to get restless now, especially if they blow a 16 point lead. The Welsh scrum has done well given the weight deficit.

Sorry - wasn’t saying France are unstructured. More that if they start playing proper rugby (after 5 poor years) then they have all the ingredients. For too long gheyve had players out of position, bizzare selection and awful tactics.

Is anybody else starting to wonder if the Welsh kicker is a replicant?

The piss poor French place kicking could well be their undoing tonight plus the fact that that appear to still be in the changing rooms following half time. The crowd is silent too.

If Wales win this, they will have done bloody well to dig themselves out of s pretty big hole.
