Fantastic game, well played both sides and great to see the 6N still wide open!
Never write off a Wales side. Really well played. Scotland did look out on their feet at the end. Both sides forwards played immense games.
So could those with much more of an eye explain how Wales were able to:
a) Neutralise VDM, many of his attacks came to nothing, he did not look anywhere near as threatening as last week. He seemd less potent somehow.
b) Considering he was so effervescent last week how did Wales keep Finn contained, I thought he looked V lost at times, and especially in the last 5 mins. A bit of a turnaround, or was this just one of his bad days?
c) Or more likely, maybe I've been watching the wrong blokes, did Wales match up better in other areas and that is what won the game?

Russell believed the hype. Wales tight 5 played well and pressured Scotland. We didn't deserve to win. Yellow was daft but would have been genius if it had stuck. Hogg lucky in first half.
The whole scrum is a mess. They need to negate the negative play. Something like the most you will gain is a tap and go. I'm not sure what the assistant refs are watching. Just stick a camera in the non ref side and have tmo watch them.

Wales were up quickly on the Scottish backline so VDM was mostly negated. Wales were also dropping a sweeper in to crowd the midfield as well. I have never rated Pivac but he had our number today.

Russell just though he had to turn up( again)I have never rated Pivac but he had our number today.

However these two teams are on another level. This game is brilliant.

Had to record it. What a great game, either team deserved the win.

Two disappointing results but a great afternoon of rugby. That's why the Six Nations is the best rugby tournament there is, including the World Cup.

Shite. Another long wait to see a win in Paris. No complaints. France brutal in the first half. Great to see Ireland not let themselves get blown away and get the crowd nervous for the last ten, but there you go. 🙁

Great to see Ireland not let themselves get blown away

I think Ireland can be really pleased, they stayed in touch with a classy, powerful France team in Paris. Had the game been in Ireland, then they may well have won.
France may struggle in Scotland next week. Scotland have done well against them there recently and they'll have a point to prove, much like Wales did today.
There's the potential for most of the favourite teams to each lose two games, the way things are going.
Hopefully Italy can give England a few scares tomorrow.
Anyone who supports both Scotland and Ireland must be happy with the way they are playing, at least one and perhaps both will get out of the group stages at the World Cup.

Scotland were completely and utterly dog shit today, their pack was dismantled by one of the shitest Welsh (6 Nations) 8's seen in the last 15+ years

a_a you're always the harshest of critics. Neither team was brilliant, but they did cancel each other out somewhat and are all pretty good players. (I do acknowledge you know far more about the game than I do, but neither team are American Samoa)

I may be wrong, but I thought France looked vulnerable under the high ball. Hogg and Russell might have some success there next week

There's always lots of negative press about Italy in the 6Nations - but their games are usually really exciting to watch.

Not sure why, but I can’t get excited about this game. Maybe I need more beer, maybe it’s Englands usual lack of invention in the backs.

Shame for Nowell, he looked good.

The guard managed to get scragged by itoje for the George try. Nothing wrong just streetwise Vs not so.

Ref's blowing hard, may need a better conditioning coach.

Tbf shouting "advantage England" every 30seconds must be tiring

Englands usual lack of invention in the backs

Both teams more inventive than Wales and Scotland yesterday (imho).
This feels like an ideal game for England to finesse their moves. Both Ireland and France are more consistent in their team selections - quite how Eddie Jones has allowed that to happen is beyond me.

Actually I'm not sure how true that is, but they both play as if they know what to expect from those around them.

Shame about that try before the end of the first half

Same blocking in that lineout as disallowed try, what exactly is the ref looking at?

Not to mention the commentators who could not spot that the England 3 was getting pasted in the scrum!!!

do you actually enjoy rugby, or just complaining about refereeing at England games?

It's a bit old now, tbh.

I'm not sure what else England have been practising in training, but their hitch-kicks are top drawer

Inconsistent reffing across the weekend, yesterday rucks needed a full shoulder bind today just touching.

I sometimes go and see the local side play in London 1 south, but I don't go as often as I used to when my Dad was younger and him and his mate had season tickets for Wasps @ High Wycombe. And fell out of the habit when they moved. So yes, mainly it's TV games now, and where the new rules come in I ask daft questions sometimes because keeping up is hard all the time there are changes.

But less about me, what about you? Just anti-'Ingerlund' then?

Cool story, what's your point?

No just say it how I see it, if you turned up to the thread other than when Ingerland were playing you'd know that.

Edited to add if the ref less less shite we'd have had a better game, it's been a load of pens inside the 22 and no signs of a card

It's the anyone but England that i find annoying. And when they can't complain about the players, it's the referees being biased. Every single game.

OK, I'll shut up.

Ah bless.

Every single game.

England don't play in every game do they, although it must seem that way to many

I back Italy when they are underdogs in all games, except v Wales obviously
