Has anyone rooted their kindle fire and installed the Google play store? Was it easy enough to do? there seems to be lots of different methods online, which is best?

Daughter bought one when they first came out.
Very happy but finds the walled garden approach to the software a bit limiting.
Think she's left it a bit late to change hers now.
