Doing the Scouts “Expedition” challenge badge this weekend and the weather is going to be warm. For safety reasons we have had to cut the route down (no pike or pigeon tower) so the kids are basically skirting the reservoirs.
Are there usually any ice cream vans around either of the dams?
I’m know that there used to be one at the bottom of The Ice Cream Run, but that is too far off piste.
Maybe call one in advance, if they are guarenteed a hundred sales it would probably be worth them making a detour.
There are only 7 kids.
Rivington bowling club do ice creams. And beer for the Adults 🙂
Yep, I was thinking of the bowling green as well. It has a fancy name now, something like "The Rivington". The lower barn also has ice creams.

I'm sure I've seen an advert for ice cream on the cafe that's between the upper and lower reservoirs on Horrobin lane, maybe somebody else can confirm?
