Just read his obit on the BBC - he did an amazing amount of stuff that would be considered classic now. Wrote Animal House, wrote, directed and produced Groundhog Day...

He died of something that nearly killed my girlfriend 8 years ago - autoimmune vasculitis, which can hit anyone at any time.

Ghostbusters is my most watched film - it was the only VHS film I has when I was 14-15, I must have watched it every week.

RIP, one of the greats.

Another Ghostbusters fan here. Watched it virtually every evening as a kid. I remember once raiding the house in an effort to build my own PK energy gun/backpack so I could zap some ghosts in the local graveyard 🙄 WTF?

RIP fella

So sad. Will always have fond memories of watching him in GB as a kid. I know Bill Muray is the cool one now but I loved Egon!!

I like the Ash Vickers one too, maybe not a poignant but still good

(I had though it was a Tim Buckley... given me reason to pop back to his site)
