I honestly thought he had died after the last LOTR film.
93 eh, good innings.

My favourite story of his was where he broke down after a dinner party in a rural mountainous area of italy. In full dinner suit, on a stormy night he goes to the nearest house, knocks on the door
A middle aged woman opens the door, sees him and faints 😆

Great body of work, from the early horror films through to the mega blockbusters near the end.
Lord Summerisle, Scaramanga and Dracula, villains you could almost root for.

RIP Sir.

Would it be poor taste to suggest a stake through his heart?
Just to be sure like.

And a cousin of Ian Fleming according to the 5Live obituary!

Didn't take himself too seriously, I like that in a superstar.

He had an amazing life

The list of things he did in WW2 alone is impressive

Witnessed the last public execution in France, Finnish Army, Home Guard, RAF, RAF Intelligence, Suez, North Africa, Malta, with The Gurkhas at Monte Cassino, climbed Vesuvius, helped track down Nazi war criminals, SOE & Long Range Desert Patrol

For scaring the shit out of me as a lad I reckon this would be a good idea...

Lets hope they bury him in his count's cape....

RIP but at 93 a great innings. Total legend..
