Im thinking of buying a Reverb from a shop in Germany but just wondered if any knows or has experience of buying from abroad when it comes to warranty?

Friend of mine bought a 2011 german one that failed, called sram uk who told him it was a worldwide product/warranty and to send it to them via a local dealer which he did and a week later recieved a brand new 2012 FOC by return!

be nicer if it didn't fail in the first place.

I didn't have a great experience with fishers. Make sure you take photos of the post before you send and record the serial number. I was returned one with a scratched up shaft, which it didn't have when I sent it off. After some discussion they agreed to sort, despite still saying I must have done the damage.

Second returned reverb hasn't had the bottom section put on in line, so the RS logo is slightly off to one side. It works so haven't bothered sending it back again despite it looking crap.
