Wa Gwan.

Lockdown ponderings and a few recent bug threads have gotten me checking out the wider world in miniature lately around my allotment plot and having a play around with my macro lens. Normally you can't get rid of bugs, but as soon as my camera was out, I struggled to find any of the little ****s.

Let's see some of your macro world!

Any tips to get great shots appreciated too. I'm very much a toe dipper at this.

Let's see some little stuff!

OT really as I don't have a macro lens but instead at the limits of its abilities in terms of close-upness and light my phone makes a moth on the bathroom mirror look like a painting

Came for Excel content. Was disappointed.

Seriously though, great pics! 🙂

Bought a Canon FD 70-210 f/4 telephoto last week for £20 which has a "macro" setting. Manual focus and no stabilisation is "fun".

Many years ago I had a proper macro lens which was fun, but used too infrequently so I sold it to help with a house move.

These are all from my Photo a Day 2013 album which I annoyingly never finished!
I think kayak23 might have even commented on the first one in Flickr...
