I've just deleted a lot of photos on my ipad. They were in photo stream but they also got deleted from the album I'd put them in.
Is there an easy way to get them back?
If they were in the photo stream then they should be on any device sharing the same stream. I would pull the plug on the wifi and open up the mac or iPhone which shares the stream and see if they are still on there. If they are, copy them from the stream to say the desktop before reconnecting the wifi. If you don't pull the plug on the wifi, the photo stream may autoupdate and delete the pictures before you can sort them.
Have deleted from shop iPad. It shares with mac and iPad at home.
WiFi is on at home but devices are off.
So turn off WiFi before turning on devices?
