Some of those are mind blowing.
Not just the amazing photography but also the fact that these buildings etc actually existed.

I've seen some of his work before.

A couple of years ago I got a book as an Xmas present: "50 places you will never visit" - there are some you'd think "I'd really like to go there" like the seed vault on Svarlbard and others where you think "no way" like the island off the coast of Brazil that is basically home to a vast number of highly venomous snakes.

I can't help thinking the photos look cool but don't really show much. I'd like more detail!

That was my thought too. Undoubtedly artistic but these places are amazing in their own right. Much prefer some of the other stuff on 28dayslater which manages to combine great photographs with more of the detail and story.
