a little mishap yesterday with an unbraked trailer which was heavier than I expected (or the slope was greater than I realised), and the reversing light took the impact with a 2-3” long hairline crack. I can live with it but the car is leased so ultimately will need fixed. It looks like the cluster is only sold as complete assembly and comes in at c.£200 so I’d rather not pay that, and it’s a 2018 model so probably not likely to find a scrap one! Do chipsaway type people provide any solution to this? Or would something like this give an invisible repair? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323284817663 There are repair kits around but they seem to be bits of tape to cover holes and get through an MoT.
I had the same problem with a transit pick up on lease, 55 quid for a new bit of amber and red plastic so just nicked the one off the new pick up and swopped over, gives me time to get a cheaper bit of plastic
Magic man?
