hello.
any lancs locals able to give advice on where's decent to live near or in rivi/chorley etc? i.e. places with nice quick access to the M61, not crime-ridden and not too pricey (less than 450ish p/mth for a 2 bed house or flat)? it's not for me, and biking proximity isn't important or anything... johnnie/lowey or anyone, what do you say?

horwich is nice and low crime rates, now a large town rather than a village, but plenty of restaurants
adlington also nice, but a bit of a small village mentality everyone in eackh other business
blackrod is small and quiet.

Some newish builds down the bottom of Crown Lane, Horwich, or over the A6 in Blackrod, would be my starting points.

Try this http://www.regencyestates.co.uk/v3/rental_properties.asp?LowPrice=0&pagesize=5&rRefNo=&rBeds=2&rarea=Horwich&rTopPrice=0-499&rPropertyType=Any&rSortBy=Rent_Amoun+ASC&Submit.x=19&Submit.y=13&Submit=Display

How about Adlington - just up the A6 from Blackrod, about 7 or 8 minutes to junction 6 of the M61:

As above, Horwich will be in the price point and an nice place really. Reet on the M61 and you can even pay homage at the reebok too.
