I chickened out and have a dent guy coming round tomorrow for £80+vat
I have polished the side lights though as they were quite bad. I wiped them over with some alcohol and this was the before picture:

I then applied the cutting compound by hand with a little polishing sponge, rubbed it about a bit. Wiped it with alcohol again and sprayed with UV protection to get this result in less than 30 minutes:

I was wondering what you ended up doing, and frankly that’s the best option - it could easily have cost more than that and ended up not looking any better. You might have ended up with some interesting scars, though…
Good work on the headlight lenses, that’s going to make a big difference with the nights drawing in!
It was interesting to watch him work his magic. It was all done with long metal stick with flat or round bits on the end which he pushed up from the inside to push the dent out. He did the front wing in about 20-30 minutes and I really cannot see where it was dented, even though I had left some blue tape on marking the spot.
Slightly less impressed when he said he couldn't get the one on the rear wing out without having the interior trim all removed first. Not something he was willing to do or willing to wait while I did it. And the £80+vat was for call out and the first dent, it would have been another £80+vat which wasn't quite clear on the conversation when I booked him.
