I used to fly to Oz on a regular basis but now any flight over 3 hours drives me crazy.
You see these people who get on a flight and then are sparko for the duration, this appeals.
Saw the ad on telly for Nytol would that sort of thing help? I don't drink so getting legless is not the answer.

What Toys19 said. I have massive flying trauma, have tried every "alternative" therapy I can think of. I now get a dose of diazepam (pre flight for anxiety) and Tamazipam via prescription. The Tamazipam knocks me out for a good 6 hours, and has the wonderful side effect of slowly fading your memory away for that periods so even if I do wake up after about 3 months I can't remember the flight.

Later this year will be an 8 hour flight with 2 kids so I've a feeling the Mrs will feel differently about it this time....

To my mind there's only one way that long haul flying can be made bearable.

It costs rather a lot, though.

I regularly fly long haul with work, and there is a god - Stillnox.

Prescription so you need to go tell Doc you're suffering with insomnia but it normally gets me 5-6 hours on a plane.

Have a pretty good routine on my 12 hour flights, take off, eat dinner during a movie, whack a tab down after it's finished, wake up for meal number 2 then normally about 3 hours till landing. Nice and easy!

The other option is to sit at the front 😉
