UltraVNC is poopy. What are you using with good results?

i use realvnc and a windows mobile client from my pda it works well - but only across a network and even then i only use it to control my media center (in another room but playing through a monitor in the living room)

I'd usually use VPN and remote - in fact I do 90% of the time. On some occasions I need to see what a user is doing or exactly what they are seeing so that rules RD out and brings in VNC. I might give logmein a try - I'm guessing it's like VNC without having to VPN?

Remote Assistance is basically the same as RDP but you share the PC with the user:

ourkidsam, yes allows you to remote in but for the 'live' user - you share their session

I use TightVNC very occasionally to "take over" my parents PC remotely when they have a problem they can't solve. Works fine for that.
