does anyone know a (free) way of recovering a deleted text on an iphone 5, i just need to read it not reinstall it?
ive tried a bunch of online recovery things but the only one that found deleted texts then wanted 30quid for me to actually see them.
Check your Mac or iPad
iCloud sync / backup? (I'm guessing, I don't know much about fruit-based products.)
The only easy ways I know of is via itunes back-up, or if you've deleted the whole thread then another sms from the same number will sometimes throw up the whole thread again.
If you've only just deleted the texts, try restoring your most recent iCloud backup.
Just googled "recover iPhone text messages" and found an app that purports to do this. Bit sceptical though, given that it claims to be able to recover messages when
someone should've told the FBI!!The device is locked by a forgotten password;
