First ever wear, a perfect L shape tear in the elbow. On holding flat the material goes back in to position perfectly. I just need something to hold it there. Any suggestions?
I patched the front of my endura jacket with Gorilla tape 2 years ago and it is still there keeping the water out.
spinnaker tape or similar?
You can buy patches for Goretex jackets. The colour might not match but nobody notices.
call Endura and arrange to send it to them for repair - very good service and not costly
Similar tear in most of my jackets, including one on its first outing, was less than 20m from the house, oh how i laughed.
Bit of gaffa tape on the inside and outside. Some have been in place for years.
I got one fixed by Endura after ringing them to ask advice on an iron on repair patch. They said, "Don't do that, send it to us!" which I did expecting them to put a new panel in.
They ironed a repair patch on. Which did, TBF last for years.
If they won't help, tenacious tape will do what you want. Look it up.
Tenacious tape, holding after a few years on my Rab, where the seams wore through in about 3 months...
I have repaired small tears in my waterproof jacket with heavy duty 3 layer seam sealing tape, done well sticks like a sticky thing.
Ripstop/kite repair tape. All sorts or colours and lasts ages
I’d contact their support too, I’ve had a jacket repaired by them recently too. Very easy to deal with.
Have had very good results using Stormsure Tuff Tape - repairs made several years ago are lasting well and still 100% waterproof.
