[Closed] Recommendations for a plasterer and painter in Edinburgh
I need to get a quote for a repair due to some water damage. I looks like some lath and plaster will need removing, some new stud work replacing, new plasterboard, skimming then painting. Not a huge area, about 6 feet by 10.
The first quote was eye watering.
Can anyone suggest some good tradesmen?
I got a recommendation off here a couple of months back, we used him and are very pleased with the results, but it wasn't cheap.

Did have the name of a decent plasterer but this was > 10 years ago I'm afraid.
Painter - we used Tom Thompson & son - out in Bonnyrigg - 0131 663 5916 - they weren't that cheap but really good, quick, tidy and friendly. Father & son, both strapping 6' 3" guys, made short work of papering the stairwell..
