The Atomic Bitchwax. Can be a bit twiddly sometimes but you can actually listen to it if you know what I mean.

The entire back catalogue of Clutch should last about that long and will be better than anything else that will get recommended 🙂

Not exactly 'hard' rock but Supertramp, ELO and (even) early Elton is great road-trip music too

Black Sabbeth Greatest hits.

Listening to it now in the school car park whilst waiting for Boy2 to return from a school theatre trip. Not driving but great car music.

Actually my boys bought me one of those Dad Rock triple CDs last weekend when we had the University Roadtrip. Fits the bill for old school cheese-fest.
