Can afford £50-100 for a decent pair, compact enough to go into a biking backpack and good enough for me to ogle some birds from a distance. That should get ten stupid replies at least, but if anyone does have a proper recommendation it would be appreciated.
Bushnell are good. I have the 10x42 H2O ones at just over £100 (i think) but very well built and bright optics.
Avian Trekker 8x32, £89. Had a pair for two years and they're outstanding.
7 x 50
That's what I wa always told 😉
Bino's are so personal, but for under £100 notes and something on compact side, worth trying some Barr & Stroud Sierra 8x32's
Big fan of Swifts myself, bit over the £100, Swift Reliant 8x42 are very nice too.
A s/h pair of Carl Zeiss Jena 8x32's?
A s/h pair of Carl Zeiss Jena 8x32's?
There are loads of these about, but be warned, fungus damage and optical alignment*, if you do find a fungus free/clean pair, let me know I would love another pair 😉
*Saying that, any second hand bino's should be double checked for fungus damage, optical alignment and knocks.
