Got myself an S3 so time to recommend me aome apps or useful for day to day life, bearing in mind I am not a super technology geek!! Thanks.

Just sent this to my Dad who has also just bought a Nexus 7, although this is just a general list of (in my view) essentials and doesn't include specific apps such as gps tracking ones, etc but the list is a bit tablet-centric rather than phone-centric

Most aps no longer work on 3s as the operating system won't take the new updates.

They all work fine on my s3 with the latest firmware. Most in that list above are taken care of on your stock s3 I would just look for apps relating to stuff you use like evernote or strava etc.

Enjoy, it's a really good phone!

You shouldn't use a task killer on Android. It's unnecessary and can cause more problems than it supposedly solves.

I'd research any battery monitor you use too. Ironically, checking the battery state every five minutes can drain the battery.
